Terms of Service

Please read these terms before using ConnectMatcher.

Last updated: August 2026

Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and the operator of ConnectMatcher ("ConnectMatcher", "we", "us", "our"). By accessing or using the site, creating an account, or completing onboarding, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service. If you use ConnectMatcher on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to bind that organisation, and "you" includes it.

Who can use ConnectMatcher

You may use ConnectMatcher only if you are at least 18 years old, or older where the age of majority in your location is higher, and you have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract. You may hold one account per person. You must provide accurate information, keep it current, and not create an account if you have previously been removed from the service. Use of the service where it would be unlawful for you to do so is not permitted.

What ConnectMatcher is, and what it is not

ConnectMatcher is a private, two-way discovery tool. Based on the field and area you choose, it shows you other people who opted in and whose criteria overlap with yours. That is the whole service. ConnectMatcher does not send messages, does not send connection requests, does not introduce you to anyone, and takes no action on any account you hold anywhere. Any contact you make with another person happens entirely off ConnectMatcher and is your decision and your responsibility.

ConnectMatcher and LinkedIn

ConnectMatcher is an independent platform. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or connected to LinkedIn Corporation or Microsoft Corporation in any way. LinkedIn and Microsoft are trademarks of their respective owners, referred to here only to describe what our service does.

  • ✗ We do not access, log into, crawl, scrape, or integrate with LinkedIn, its API, or its data.
  • ✗ The LinkedIn profile link in your account is text you choose to provide, and nothing more.
  • ✗ We never post, message, connect, or act through your LinkedIn account, or any other account.

You remain solely responsible for complying with LinkedIn's own User Agreement and all of its rules, including any limits on connection requests, messaging, and outreach. Using ConnectMatcher does not authorise, and must not be used to attempt, any activity that breaks another platform's terms. Any consequence to your LinkedIn account, or any other third-party account, that results from how you choose to use it is between you and that platform.

Nothing on ConnectMatcher is advice, encouragement, or a recommendation to take any action, on LinkedIn or anywhere else. Your match list, and the number of people shown in it, exist only to help you discover people. They are not a suggestion to send any request, to send a particular number of requests, or to act on any given day or at any given time. You decide, entirely at your own discretion, whether, when, how, and how often to act on any link, and you are responsible for doing so within LinkedIn's User Agreement and any limits it sets. You must check and follow LinkedIn's current requirements for every interaction with your own LinkedIn account. Any restriction, block, suspension, sanction, or other consequence applied to your account by LinkedIn or by any other third-party provider is your responsibility alone, and to the maximum extent permitted by law we accept no responsibility or liability for it in any form.

LinkedIn and other third-party platforms operate independently and at their own discretion. They may restrict, block, suspend, or take other action against an account for reasons of their own, including reasons that are unrelated to how you actually used your account, that you may consider arbitrary or unfair, or that are based simply on where a visit to their site originated. We have no control over, involvement in, or responsibility for any such decision. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any action a third-party platform takes against you, whatever its reason, and using ConnectMatcher is not a substitute for your own judgement about whether and how to use any other platform.

Sign-in and account security

You sign in using Google or Microsoft, only so we can confirm you are a real person. Your use of those sign-in services is also governed by their own terms and privacy policies, over which we have no control. You are responsible for keeping access to your sign-in method secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. Tell us promptly through the contact form if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.

Two-way participation

Matching depends on both sides opting in. If you stop acting on your own matches, you may get fewer matches or stop receiving them, and you may gradually stop being shown to others. This is not a penalty, it is what keeps the pool made of people who actually want to connect. We may adjust how matching, scope, and visibility work at any time to protect the quality and fairness of the service.

Your information and content

You are responsible for the accuracy of the profile link, area, field, and display name you set. You confirm that any LinkedIn link you provide is your own, that you are entitled to share it, and that doing so does not break anyone else's rights or any platform's rules. By providing this information, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store it and to display it to the people you are matched with, solely to operate the service. You can delete it at any time from your settings.

What is not allowed

  • ✗ Automating, scraping, crawling, harvesting, or bulk-exporting match lists or any user data
  • ✗ Fake, duplicate, automated, or impersonating accounts, or false information about who or where you are
  • ✗ Using matches for spam, sales blasts, mass unsolicited outreach, harassment, threats, or hateful conduct
  • ✗ Reselling, republishing, or redistributing anything you see here
  • ✗ Probing, scanning, testing, or interfering with the security or operation of the service without our written permission
  • ✗ Introducing malware, overloading the service, or attempting to gain unauthorised access to any system or account
  • ✗ Reverse engineering, decompiling, or copying the site's code or design
  • ✗ Any unlawful use, or any use that breaks another platform's terms

Interactions with other people

ConnectMatcher shows you people. It does not vet, verify, endorse, or vouch for anyone, and it does not check anyone's identity, intentions, employment, or conduct. You are solely responsible for deciding whether and how to contact anyone, and for everything that follows, on any platform. You interact with other people at your own risk. We are not a party to, and are not responsible for, any communication, connection, meeting, arrangement, dispute, loss, or harm between you and another person, whether it starts here or anywhere else.

Reporting misuse, and how we respond

We take spam and misuse seriously. If someone is abusing the service, spamming through matches, impersonating others, harvesting data, or otherwise breaking these rules, report them through the contact form. We may review reports we receive and may act on misuse we identify. In response, we may investigate, warn, restrict, suspend, or permanently remove any account, and remove or block any content or behaviour, at our sole discretion.

At the same time, because misuse can be attempted by anyone and cannot be fully prevented, we do not and cannot guarantee that we will detect, prevent, or resolve every incident, and nothing in this section is a promise of a particular outcome, response time, or result. Our enforcement is discretionary and does not create any duty or warranty toward you or any third party.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the limited information we hold. No website, system, or transmission is ever completely secure, and we cannot and do not guarantee that the service cannot be compromised, intercepted, or accessed without authorisation. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for unauthorised access to, alteration of, or loss of data caused by hacking, attacks, or other events outside our reasonable control. Where the law requires us to notify you of a security incident, we will do so as and to the extent required.

No guarantees, service provided as is

ConnectMatcher is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, and availability. We do not promise any number of matches, that anyone will respond to or accept an outreach, that information shown is accurate, or that the service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free. Any material you access is at your own risk.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ConnectMatcher and its operator, and anyone acting on their behalf, will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages, or for any loss of profits, opportunities, goodwill, reputation, data, or business, arising out of or relating to your use of, or inability to use, the service, the conduct of other users, or any third party, whether based in contract, tort, or any other theory, even if advised of the possibility.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the service will not exceed one hundred United States dollars (USD 100). The service is free, and this limit reflects that. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, and where a limitation is not permitted, our liability is limited to the minimum the law allows.

Your indemnity to us

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless ConnectMatcher and its operator from and against any claims, demands, damages, losses, liabilities, and costs, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of or connected with your use of the service, the information or content you provide, your interactions with any person, your breach of these Terms, your breach of any law, or your breach of any third party's rights or terms, including those of LinkedIn or any other platform.

Advertising and third-party services

ConnectMatcher is free and may be supported by advertising. Ads and certain features may be provided by third parties, including sign-in, geolocation, and advertising providers. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party content, products, links, or services, or for any dealing you have with an advertiser or other third party. Third-party terms and privacy practices apply to their parts, and any transaction with them is solely between you and them.

Our intellectual property

The service, including its design, layout, text, code, and branding, belongs to ConnectMatcher and its operator, and is protected by law. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the service as intended. No other rights are granted. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the service without our written permission.

Privacy

Our handling of information is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. Please read it so you understand what we keep and what we do not.

Suspending or ending accounts

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time. We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access, in whole or in part, at any time, with or without notice, including where we believe you have broken these rules or where necessary to protect the service or others. Where appropriate, we may tell you why. Sections that by their nature should survive termination, including disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity, intellectual property, and governing law, continue to apply after your account ends.

When you delete your account we remove your profile information. We may, at our discretion and where permitted by law, keep a limited record that does not identify you, such as the fact that these Terms were accepted, the version accepted, and the date, retained only to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims for as long as that may be necessary. We do not undertake to keep any such record.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page, and material changes will be noted before they take effect. Your continued use of the service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree, stop using the service and delete your account.

Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. You and we agree that any dispute relating to the service or these Terms will be brought exclusively before the competent courts of Tel Aviv-Jaffa, Israel, and you consent to their jurisdiction. To the extent permitted by law, disputes will be handled on an individual basis. Nothing here removes any mandatory right you may have under the consumer-protection or data-protection laws of your own country of residence that cannot lawfully be waived.

General

If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in force, and the unenforceable part is applied to the fullest extent the law allows. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us about the service. Our failure to enforce a right is not a waiver of it. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms, and we may transfer ours as part of a reorganisation or transfer of the service. We are not responsible for failure or delay caused by events beyond our reasonable control. Headings are for convenience only.
